Microsoft Systems Engineer La Fédération des Hôpitaux Vaudois informatique (FHVi) is the preferred IT partner of 12 hospitals and regional healthcare establishments in the canton of Vaud. FHVi accompanies them through the many challenges of digital transformation in the healthcare sector and has the main missions of planning, designing, implementing, and operating the IT system of its members. This involves more than 130 employees serving 14,000 users, for a fleet of more than 8,000 workstations distributed across about a hundred geographical sites and across three cantons (VD, VS, FR). FHVi is looking for a Microsoft Systems Engineer to strengthen its Systems team and play a central role in the maintenance, evolution, and transformation of its Microsoft ecosystem. Your mission As a Microsoft Systems Engineer, you are the technical referent for the FHVi Microsoft ecosystem. You intervene in the design, operation, securing, and evolution of Windows Server, Active Directory, and associated services platforms. Within the Systems team, you actively contribute to the standardization, simplification, and automation of environments, ensuring the application of best practices and the consistency of architectures. Your responsibilities Microsoft expertise & platform evolution Ensure the role of technical referent on the FHVi Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange, PKI. Design, operate, and evolve directory services (AD DS, GPO, forests and domains), messaging (Exchange on-premise and hybrid), RDS farms, and internal PKI (ADCS). Standardize and automate system environments (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, OpCon), ensuring the application of best practices and the consistency of architectures. Operation, security & service continuity Guarantee the stability, availability, and supervision of Microsoft infrastructures in production, and provide level 3 support in compliance with defined service levels. Manage the lifecycle of Microsoft components: planning updates, version upgrades, decommissioning of obsolete systems. Contribute, in collaboration with the CISO, to the securing of infrastructures: hardening, identity and access management, Microsoft security solutions (Defender), vulnerability and patch management. Contribute to continuity and disaster recovery plans (PCA / PRA) and participate in the on-call service according to the terms in force. Document procedures, configurations, and best practices to ensure the sustainability of knowledge within the team. Projects & continuous improvement Participate in projects for the transformation and modernization of infrastructures and contribute to the definition of technical roadmaps. Conduct active technological monitoring and propose improvements meeting business needs and future challenges. Profile sought Education & experience Higher education in computer science (Bachelor or Master, HES/EPF Engineer or equivalent degree). Minimum 7 years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong specialization in Microsoft, ideally in a critical, complex, and multi-site environment. Technical skills Advanced expertise of the Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, PKI, WSUS, RDS farms. Good knowledge of VMware virtualization (vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, cluster and resource management). Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting. Good knowledge of backup solutions and restoration strategies. Knowledge of complex architectures: high availability, active-active datacenter, security by design, SSO. Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools. Knowledge of ITIL v4 processes (incident, problem, and change management) and practice of ITSM tools. Holding professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, ITIL, etc.) is an asset. Personal qualities Ability to analyze needs, translate them into relevant technical solutions, and solve complex problems autonomously, while collaborating effectively in a team. Overview vision and spirit of initiative allowing technical choices to be aligned with strategic objectives and the long-term needs of the organization. Rigor, sense of responsibility, and good writing skills, particularly for technical documentation. Excellent communication skills, sense of service, and a taste for knowledge sharing. Languages French: excellent oral and written mastery.
