Machining Process Engineer *

Machining Process Engineer (M/F/D)* Advanced Optics, with its significant technological competence, is a partner of choice for its customers in the development of products and custom solutions for optical applications, lithography, astronomy, optoelectronics, architecture, human sciences, and research. With a product portfolio of more than 120 optical glasses, materials and special components, we master the entire value chain: from the development of custom glasses to the very high-quality finished product, as well as metrology. Machining Process Engineer (M/F/D)* Your contribution You work in close collaboration with the production teams in order to achieve continuous improvement objectives in terms of quality, productivity and flow performance. You analyze the capacities of existing equipment and are proactive in proposing ways to optimize their use, improve their reliability and develop new processes. You drive the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, from the analysis phase to the implementation of robust standards, relying on recognized methodologies (Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.). You write, structure and deploy work instructions according to TWI standards, ensuring their adoption by the operational teams. You collaborate with the different departments (production, quality, methods, R&D, sales) in order to meet customer requirements and project needs. You take charge of the complete development of new machining processes, notably within the framework of prototype projects or small series with high added value. You program and optimize CNC machines for the machining of technical materials (notably sapphire), guaranteeing industrial feasibility, repeatability and part quality. You define machining strategies, process parameters, tooling and manufacturing methods adapted to customer requirements. You are responsible for the development of processes, from the first trials to industrial validation. You manage process development projects from A to Z: analysis of needs, feasibility study, trials, validation, industrialization. You are the main technical interlocutor on prototype projects and ensure coordination between internal and external stakeholders. You provide concrete and innovative solutions allowing to meet the high technical requirements of our customers. As a process expert, you conduct and manage feasibility and industrialization studies on specific or custom products. You actively contribute to the resolution of complex problems in production (quality, capability, process drifts, etc.). Your qualifications Engineering degree in mechanics or a title deemed equivalent Initial technical training in machining Proven experience in industrial project management and continuous improvement of production processes Good knowledge of industrialization and optimization of machining processes A Lean/Six Sigma certification or training is an asset Natural leadership, unifying spirit and excellent communication skills Analytical and synthesis spirit, structured and methodical approach Proactive, proactive in proposing ideas and solution-oriented Good level of English (minimum B2) jpid8e9155djm jit0727jm jiy26jm
