Participatively shaping the space Building. Making fire. Mediating disputes. Listening. Co-creating. Our adventure playground Robi Horburg is not a classic childcare location. It is a workshop, a meeting point, an adventure space Hammering, sawing, discussing, negotiating, cooking, laughing happens here - and sometimes there are also loud arguments. Children take on responsibility, try things out and actively shape their space. From August 2026, we offer a part-time apprenticeship for HF/FH Social Work/Social Pedagogy/Socioculture at Robi Horburg (50-60%). ## The Robi playgrounds of the association Robi-Spiel-Aktionen Basel are part of our offering of open children's and youth work and includes the animation of children with changing creative workshop and play offers. What awaits you with us: ### You work on three fixed days (Wed, Thu, Sat) right in the middle of the action. • Accompanying children in open play operations • Co-designing workshop and construction projects • Fireplace, garden, outdoor space - in all weather • Negotiating rules and conflicts in everyday life • Cooperation with parents and the neighborhood You learn how pedagogical attitude becomes concrete in an open setting: being present, setting boundaries, handing over responsibility, enduring, reflecting. Depending on the level of training, you will take on more responsibility step by step - always accompanied by qualified practical instruction. The Robi Horburg has been an important place for play and encounter in the Horburg neighborhood and the surrounding area for many years. In addition to the various play and workshop offers, our animal keeping - in the sense of animal pedagogy - is an important part of our daily work. What you bring with you: ### • Ongoing studies in Social Pedagogy HF/FH or a definitively confirmed apprenticeship starting from August 2026 with school days on Mon and Tue • Joy in lively, relationship-oriented work with children and adolescents • Willingness to work outdoors and to roll up your sleeves practically • Ability to reflect and desire to develop professionally • Reliability and team spirit You stay calm when it gets loud. You can allow closeness and at the same time set clear boundaries. And you enjoy creating something together with children.
