Cook for lunch service (50–60 %)

For our lunch service at the Primarschule Steckborn, we are looking for a committed, reliable, and independent personality as a Cook (50–60 %) starting 1. December 2026.
In this versatile role, you will ensure that our students are provided with balanced, child-friendly, and tasty meals every day. You enjoy working in a lively school environment and maintain an overview even when things get a bit more hectic in the kitchen.

Your tasks

• Planning and preparation of balanced, varied, and child-friendly meals
• Independent organization and coordination of daily kitchen processes
• Menu planning taking into account allergies, intolerances, and special dietary needs
• Purchasing, goods receipt, and professional storage of food
• Responsibility for economical and sustainable handling of food
• Compliance with and implementation of applicable hygiene and quality regulations
• Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area as well as the work equipment
• Cooperation with the lunch service team and other employees of the Primarschule

Your profile

• More than 3 years of professional experience in the kitchen, ideally in community, school, or catering gastronomy
• Training as a Köchin/Koch EFZ is an advantage
• Joy in the preparation of healthy and child-friendly meals
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working
• Good organizational skills and strong awareness of hygiene
• Resilience and flexibility
• Joy in dealing with children and working in a school environment
• Ability to work in a team and a friendly, appreciative demeanor
• Good German language skills
