Deputy Director - Engineering Office

We are recruiting, on behalf of our client an engineering office, a Deputy Director, in order to support the development of an engineering activity recognized for its expertise in the fields of civil engineering, infrastructure, and spatial planning.

This function is intended for an experienced professional wishing to combine management, business development, management of complex projects, and support for teams in a demanding technical environment.

Your role

Reporting to the regional management, you actively participate in the definition and implementation of the development strategy for your area.

You act as a liaison for management with the teams and clients, with a global vision of activities, projects, and resources.

Your role consists of ensuring the sustainable growth of the activity, strengthening relations with clients and partners, and supporting employees in their professional development.

Beyond operational management, you actively contribute to the positioning of the office on its market and participate in strategic reflections related to the evolution of the organization.

Your responsibilities

You support teams in conducting complex projects, ensuring the technical quality of services and client satisfaction.

You participate in the commercial development of the activity, by identifying new opportunities and consolidating existing relations with project owners, public authorities, companies, and partners.

You contribute to the acquisition of new mandates, the preparation of offers, and the negotiation of contracts.

You ensure the financial monitoring of the activities under your responsibility, ensuring the profitability of projects and the achievement of fixed objectives.

You participate in the recruitment, supervision, and development of teams, with particular attention paid to the transmission of knowledge and the skill development of employees.

Finally, you represent the company to clients, institutional partners, and the various actors in the sector.

Your profile

You hold a degree in Engineering EPF, HES or equivalent in the field of civil engineering.

You have significant experience in managing infrastructure, mobility, planning, or civil engineering projects, ideally acquired within a recognized engineering office.

Throughout your career, you have developed solid experience in team management, client relations, and business management.

You are able to evolve on both strategic subjects and operational and technical issues.

Your leadership, your ability to unite people, and your sense of development allow you to effectively support teams while durably strengthening relations with clients.

You also possess a good knowledge of the Swiss market and the main actors in the sector.
