Our production is the heart of artimelt – this is where sophisticated special adhesives are created on various mixing systems for customers and applications all over the world. Good production requires functioning technology and stable processes. Above all, however, it needs people who take responsibility together. As Head of Production, you will lead an experienced team, provide orientation, promote cooperation, and develop our production with moderation, and as a member of the management team, actively shape the future of artimelt.

Who we are

artimelt is an independent Swiss SME based in Sursee. We develop and produce special hotmelt adhesives for demanding applications – including for Medical, Tapes, Labels, and industrial special applications. Our customers are international, our development and production are at home in Central Switzerland.

What this role is about

• You bear overall responsibility for our production in 3-shift operation and, together with your team, ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient production operation.
• You lead and develop the shift leaders as well as the employees in AVOR, maintenance, and projects. In doing so, you create clarity and commitment, promote personal responsibility, and strengthen cooperation across shifts and functions.
• You are close to the production and to the people: you listen, make decisions, and ensure that challenges become solutions.
• You ensure high-performance production plants and further develop our production through technical improvements, meaningful investments, and modernization projects.
• You work closely with Development, Supply Chain, and Quality Management and ensure, together with your team, that our high requirements for quality, occupational safety, and a regulated production environment are met. As a member of the management team, you think beyond production and take co-responsibility for the development of artimelt.

• Leading our ERP implementation to success: We are currently introducing a new ERP system with Microsoft Business Central. You will join during the testing and implementation phase, bring in the production perspective, and ensure, together with your team, that the new system works and is lived in everyday production.
• Keeping our production fit for the future: Our plants and processes are established and high-performing. At the same time, there is room for technical further development, automation, and modernization. You recognize meaningful potential and bring the right projects into implementation.

What you bring with you

• You can lead people. You provide orientation, formulate clear expectations, and make decisions. At the same time, you listen, incorporate different perspectives, value existing experience, and win people over for common goals.
• You know industrial production from your own experience and have already assumed leadership responsibility in a manufacturing company. Balancing quality, deadlines, plant availability, and efficiency is part of your everyday production life.
• You have a technical background, ideally a degree at FH/university level, for example in process engineering, chemistry, plastics technology, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field. For us, your technical understanding is decisive – not the exact title of your degree.
• You think in processes and contexts and know a quality-oriented or regulated production environment. Experience from chemistry, medical technology, pharma, food, or comparable industries is welcome.
• You are pragmatic, curious, and solution-oriented. You analyze carefully but do not lose yourself in problems, are open to change, and advance topics together with others.
