Hotel Financial Operations Specialist (M/F) – 80 to 100 %

Hôtel Beaulac, a 4-star establishment with 116 rooms located on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, is part of a hotel group that also includes Hôtel Ibis in Thielle and Hôtel Design F6 in Geneva.

As part of the reinforcement of our finance department, we are looking for a:

Hotel Financial Operations Specialist (M/F) – 80 to 100 %

Reporting to the Group Financial Management, you will participate in the accounting activities, financial monitoring, and reporting of several establishments.

Your role:

You play a central role in the financial and accounting management of several hotel establishments.

You ensure the reliability of financial data, participate in closings and reporting, monitor cash flows, and actively contribute to the analysis of the Group's performance.

Your position involves working in close collaboration with the Financial Management, operational teams, suppliers, debtors, as well as external partners and fiduciaries.

You are also a source of proposals in the optimization of processes, controls, and financial tools.

Accounting & closings

• Ensure general accounting and the monitoring of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and account controls.
• Participate in monthly and annual closings.
• Ensure the monitoring and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
• Prepare the necessary elements for closings and fiduciary controls.
• Participation in internal and external audits.

Suppliers, debtors & invoicing

• Ensure the monitoring of the Group's suppliers and debtors.
• Issue, control, and monitor invoices.
• Prepare and monitor supplier payments.
• Perform reconciliations of payments and accounts.
• Monitor open receivables and any payment delays.
• Processing of supplier invoices.

Treasury & control

• Perform daily monitoring of bank accounts and cash flow.
• Control the cash registers, liquidity, and collections of the establishments.
• Perform necessary controls and reconciliations.
• Identify and process any anomalies or differences.
• Control of OTA and platform commissions.
• Control of inventories.

Reporting & indicators

• Prepare financial reports and the Daily Report.
• Monitor the main financial and operational indicators of the establishments.
• Implement and evolve KPIs and dashboards adapted to the Group's needs.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses at the request of the financial and general management.
• Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitoring of budgets and variance analysis.

Hotel systems & tools

• Utilize data from accounting and hotel systems.
• Perform controls and reconciliations between operational and accounting data.
• Work with Oracle OPERA Cloud and Oracle Simphony Cloud.
• Use Office Maker, Excel, and reporting tools.
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial tools.
• Monitoring of budgets and variance analysis.
• Active management of AR.

Process improvement & projects

• Identify anomalies and possibilities for improvement in financial processes.
• Participate in the implementation of new procedures and controls.
• Contribute to the automation and simplification of accounting and financial tasks.
• Actively participate in financial projects and the implementation of new systems.
• Collaborate with the Financial Management, establishment managers, fiduciaries, and various external partners.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT.
• Documentation of procedures.
• Archiving.

Your profile:

• Training in accounting/finance (CFC, ES, federal diploma or equivalent title)
• Excellent mastery of general accounting and closing processes
• Solid skills in financial analysis and reporting
• Very good mastery of Excel
• Experience in hospitality or in a multi-site environment: an asset
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle OPERA Cloud and Simphony Cloud
