HYDRO Exploitation SA is an important service provider, active notably in the field of operation and maintenance of energy production installations. We bring all the necessary skills under one roof, from maintenance personnel to engineering.

We operate and maintain a fleet of installations comprising more than 40 hydroelectric power plants. Their installed capacity corresponds to approximately 22 % of the hydraulic power available in Switzerland (25 % with pumping stations). Together, the installations we operate produce approximately 16 % of the hydraulic electricity in Switzerland.

Thanks to our unique expertise, we offer our clients high value-added services that meet their varied needs as well as their high quality requirements. Our range of services is aimed at electricity companies, public institutions, transport companies, as well as industry. We operate mainly in Switzerland, but also occasionally carry out missions abroad.

Operations Technician

Workplace: Zermatt

Your mission:

You perform the necessary maintenance work in different hydroelectric power plants and participate, within a multidisciplinary team, in the maintenance work of the mechanical parts of the installations.

Your tasks:

• Autonomous performance of repair and maintenance work in different hydroelectric power plants
• Execution of orders in the field of plant operation (maintenance work, periodic controls and inspections according to program and directives)
• Participation in maintenance, renovation and extension work in the hydroelectric power plants
• Application of the necessary safety, quality and environmental regulations to ensure the smooth running of the work
• Ensuring the on-call service
• Performing cleaning and maintenance work of the surroundings

Your skills:

• 2 to 3 years of experience in an industrial company, preferably in a hydroelectric power plant
• Autonomy and sense of responsibility
• Willingness to work in a team and geographic mobility
• Ability to manage emergency situations
