Zollikofen, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-100% What you can contribute • Ensure the architecture of fiber optic networks, manage the planning, acquisition, commissioning, and acceptance of new fiber optic cables (bernois) intended for the operation of computer systems and define the operational requirements for external service providers • Assume requirements engineering tasks, encompassing the examination of new and modified requirements regarding connectivity from the angle of their complexity, feasibility, and impact on existing or future standards, directives, and systems • Perform conceptual tasks, provide advice and solutions in case of complex requirements related to the fiber optic network (feasibility demonstration) and give technical instructions during fiber optic connections in different specialized areas of the local and external network (LAN/WAN) • Provide advice to customers and cable manufacturers, ensuring technical coordination and communication with them; on the other hand, support the sales organization during pre-sales, develop and present technical solutions • Ensure the design, architecture, and engineering of solutions for complex fiber optic cable routes and guarantee the evaluation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of new routes, while providing support to our external on-call service (reactive operational service) <br /> What makes you unique • Degree from a higher education institution or deep knowledge and long experience in the field of fiber optic networks; proven technical knowledge in the planning and maintenance of fiber optic networks • Several years of professional experience in the field of networks, preferably in fiber optic network design, as well as mastery of the architecture, design, planning, and deployment of these networks • Operational expertise in the field of fiber optic networks (core and distribution) and interest in project management tasks • Affinity for logic and abstraction, quick-wittedness, analytical skills, communication and teamwork skills, flexibility, stress resistance, ability to implement new solutions in collaboration with internal and external interlocutors • Flexible and helpful personality, structured and precise working method; ideally, experience with agile methods and associated roles (notably SAFe and the Jira environment) • Good knowledge of two official languages <br /> In a few words Thanks to your experience, the architecture, design, and deployment of fiber optic network infrastructures are no longer a secret to you.
