We are the Stiftung für blinde und sehbehinderte Kinder und Jugendliche Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organization with a non-profit objective. Our task is to promote and support people with special educational needs from birth to young adulthood. We offer additional services to parents, teachers of public regular schools and special public schools, as well as to professionals. Our core competencies lie in the promotion and support of young people with visual impairment, blindness, multiple disabilities or from the autism spectrum.

Tasks ###

As a classroom teacher, you will work together with a motivated team that you lead pedagogically. You plan the grade-appropriate lessons according to Lehrplan 21 and implement them together with the team. As a basis for this, you create individual educational and support plans. You undertake nursing and medical measures as well as key person and coordination work. Constructive contact with legal guardians and external specialist centers is important to you and you maintain this proactively. In addition, you create reports, participate in meetings and engage in working groups. Furthermore, you organize school events such as, for example, country school weeks or project weeks and implement them with the team.

Requirements ###

You have school experience in supporting children and adolescents with a multiple disability and ideally also with children in the autism spectrum. You adapt your communication individually to the abilities of the students. Ideally, you possess a diploma in school special education or are currently studying for one. A primary school teaching certificate, a Bachelor in Primary Education or a Bachelor in Special and Social Pedagogy is also a good prerequisite for the position. With your constructive nature and positive attitude, you contribute a lot to a good team climate.
