Your contribution

• Control and verify the entry and exit conditions of persons at the borders of the Schengen area; in the first line of control, make decisions regarding the entry or exit of persons in accordance with the legal bases
• Verify the authenticity and ownership by the traveler of travel documents
• Control the maximum duration of stay of travelers and record their biometric data
• Search for travel document data in search systems, interpret the results and take initial measures, as well as collaborate with the second line of control

What distinguishes you

• Swiss citizenship, dual citizenship or C residence permit
• Basic vocational training (AFC)
• Impeccable reputation, communication skills and a well-groomed appearance
• Proficiency in the Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and interest in modern technologies
• Pragmatic person, ability to learn and to adapt to changes
• Willingness to wear the uniform and to work irregular hours, as well as Saturdays and Sundays
• Excellent knowledge of at least one official language, good oral knowledge of English (minimum level B1)

The Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (UDSC) guarantees global security at the border in favor of the population, economy and State and is well interconnected at a national and international level. Among its main tasks are the correct and rapid imposition of tradable goods, the rapid management of tourist traffic as well as the areas of migration and security police. With Criminal Prosecution the UDSC has its own inquiring authority. The UDSC is in the middle of digital transformation.
