With around 19,000 inhabitants, Ostermundigen is one of the largest municipalities in the Canton of Bern. The Building Department is divided into the areas of Real Estate, Building Administration, as well as Energy, Sustainability and Climate.

For the Real Estate area, we are looking for, starting from 1 April 2027 or by arrangement, a

Real Estate Portfolio Manager / Real Estate Portfolio Manager 80-100%

Time for a professional change?

• You develop projects for the municipality-owned properties and plots and accompany their implementation.
• You develop structural and operational solutions for the different spatial needs of the users and support the assessment of requirements.
• You advise the planning department on real estate economic issues and participate in the development of development regulations or zones with a planning obligation.
• You support the department management in the annual budgeting as well as long-term investment planning.

Can you answer the following questions with YES?

• Do you have a completed degree (FH or university) in construction, architecture, planning or engineering as well as further training in the field of real estate management, project management or business administration?
• Do you bring experience in project development and have successfully managed complex projects and involved different stakeholders?
• Do you convince through negotiation skills, high advisory competence and the ability to bring different interests together?
• Do you think analytically and conceptually, grasp complex contexts quickly and develop sustainable solutions?

Working at the municipality of Ostermundigen means:

We offer you a meaningful task with a lot of creative freedom and the opportunity to actively help shape Ostermundigen. You will be supported by the building team and carefully introduced into your new function. Flexible working hours as well as the combination of presence work and home office enable contemporary work design. Your workplace is centrally located in Ostermundigen and is easily accessible by public transport. The position is limited to four years. If appropriately qualified, there is subsequently the possibility to take over the management of the Building Department.
