In this key position, you will take technical responsibility for our software, PLC and NC solutions and continuously develop our automation and software expertise together with internal and external partners.

Your tasks – technically demanding, varied and with a lot of personal responsibility

Technical Responsibility

• You take on technical responsibility for the areas of software, PLC/PMC and NC.
• You ensure technically and economically optimal solutions for our machines and customer projects.
• You develop and maintain NC programs and technology cycles.
• You develop and optimize the PLC/PMC software for machine processes, interlocks and interfaces.
• You define software and technology architectures as well as coding, structure and documentation standards.
• You ensure clean software versioning across all machine types.
• You specifically expand internal know-how in the field of NC and PLC and ensure sustainable knowledge transfer.
• You ensure that know-how from external partners is systematically brought back into the company.
• You observe new technologies and ensure the use of future-proof software solutions.
• You accompany machine commissioning in cooperation with the Electrical Engineering / Commissioning department.

Project and Interface Management

• You are the central contact person for all software and control technology topics.
• You work closely with Design, Technology, Application Engineering, Service and Sales.
• You plan, control and monitor customer and development projects taking into account requirements, capacities, material availability and deadlines.
• You ensure the timely implementation of customer-specific orders and development projects.
• You participate in project kick-offs as well as the weekly project meetings.
• You present technical solutions internally and, if necessary, also to customers and partners.
• You support Sales and After Sales with technical questions.

Quality, Standards & Further Development

• You continuously develop existing software solutions and optimize our software portfolio.
• You establish and maintain standards for software development, structuring and documentation.
• You ensure compliance with relevant legal and normative requirements, especially in the area of CE conformity, together with internal and external partners.
• You promote structured documentation and sustainable knowledge transfer.
• You actively contribute to the improvement of processes and workflows.

Your additional responsibility

• Deputy for the Head of Electrical Engineering.
• Internal contact person for IT topics.
• Coordination with our external IT service provider.
• Support with simple IT user problems as well as in user and authorization management.

Your profile – technically strong, solution-oriented and customer-focused

• Completed technical training or studies in the field of Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or comparable.
• Several years of professional experience in automation technology, PLC/NC programming or machine industry.
• Sound experience with PLC/PMC systems.
• Good knowledge in the area of NC programming and technology cycles.
• Experience in the development and structuring of machine software.
• Understanding of machine processes, interfaces, interlocks and industrial control systems.
• Experience in the management or technical coordination of projects.
• Strong understanding of technical contexts and economic requirements.
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working.
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation and knowledge transfer.
• Good German and English skills.
