Your new challenge as of 1. December 2026 or by agreement as Your tasks • You will lead the Department for Disability and Care Services with six employees in a personnel, technical, organizational and financial manner. • You will create orientation, set priorities, control loads in a forward-looking manner and promote a trusting, self-responsible teamwork. • You will be responsible for the supervision, management and financing of services for people with disabilities as well as other social institutions in the canton of Zug. • You will ensure recognition, operating permits and supervision according to legal bases and manage the IVSE contact point of the canton of Zug. • You will be responsible for individual cost guarantees as well as performance and subsidy agreements and critically question key figures, ranges and management instruments. • You will further develop the cantonal disability policy and care in a technical, financial and strategic manner. • You will prepare political business, government and cantonal council proposals, co-reports, consultations and statements. • You will work closely with institutions and sponsors, municipalities, other cantons, the federal government, intercantonal bodies and other partner organizations and, as a member of the management, actively contribute to the further development of the Cantonal Social Office. Your profile • University or college degree, preferably in social, legal, economic or administrative sciences, supplemented by a leadership training. • Several years of leadership and professional experience in the social sector, in public administration or in a comparable politically shaped environment. • Accessible, self-reflective and resilient leadership personality who creates trust and enables freedom. • Pronounced understanding of social institutions as well as their technical, operational and financial reality. • Secure handling of demanding management, financing and supervision issues as well as performance agreements, key figures and controlling instruments. • High dialogue ability, negotiating skill and good sense for different interests, especially in sensitive financial or technical questions. • Communication-strong, proactive and implementation-oriented personality who also represents delicate topics clearly and bindingly.
