As a member of the Volvo Group, Designwerk represents innovative solutions in the field of electric mobility. Do you want to shape the future of mobility? Then strengthen our team as a mechanical engineer and develop mechanical components and systems. You will also take charge of managing our external service providers.

Our team of approximately 200 people combines technical expertise and a spirit of innovation to succeed together in putting electric utility vehicles and clean products on the road.

Your area of action ###

• Mechanical development and design of components and systems for the product range in the field of electric trucks and HVB, taking into account technical specifications and current standards
• Execution of CAD package studies as well as creation of CAD 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications and ERP data, including construction bills of materials
• Participation in interdisciplinary development projects with the system technical team as well as taking charge of sub-project management tasks
• Support for prototype construction and the introduction of products into production in collaboration with the test workshop and industrial engineering
• Quality assurance and completeness of CAD data and manufacturing documents as well as participation in FMEA and design verifications
• Coordination of external service providers and suppliers for design and qualification tasks

Your assets ###

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of professional experience in the automotive or utility vehicle sector
• Experience in mechanical development as well as good CAD knowledge in SolidWorks PDM
• Knowledge in materials science, tolerance management
• Understanding of FMEA as well as proficient mastery of MS Office
• Good English skills, both spoken and written
• Strong problem-solving skills, sense of responsibility and personal initiative
• Team-oriented personality with a passion for innovation, partnership collaboration and sustainable mobility
