The University Clinic for Human Genetics provides extensive and interdisciplinary services in the field of genetic consultation and diagnostics and is scientifically integrated into the Department for Clinical Research. We are a Category A training center with full authorization (4 years) for training to become a specialist in Medical Genetics.

What awaits you
As part of patient care, we operate a busy consultation service for outpatient patients, which covers the entire spectrum of genetic diagnostics/counseling from the prenatal period to late adulthood. In addition to the general consultation for Medical Genetics, together with colleagues from other specialties at Inselspital, we also operate several interdisciplinary special consultation services (e.g., cardiology, dermatology, nephrology, neurology, ophthalmology, etc.). In addition to our activity in the outpatient sector, we are also responsible for the consultative assessment/clarification of inpatient patients in both the children's clinics as well as in various clinics in the adult sector.

What you bring with you
Medical diploma or equivalent qualification, specialist title in Human Genetics/Medical Genetics
Ideally several years of professional experience
Openness, collegiality and willingness to integrate into the existing team and to work actively with the medical staff of the other clinics of the hospital
Ability to work in a team and enjoyment of personal further training
Interest in scientific questions
Proficiency in the German language with good knowledge of English and, if possible, another language
