The Spitalverbund Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Akutspital Herisau and the Psychiatrisches Zentrum AR in Herisau ensures the extended basic medical care for the population in the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care for the canton and beyond.

In the education department under the leadership of Frau Sarah Tihanyi, Frau Sandra Widmer is looking for a Nursing Specialist HF in training for the Psychiatrisches Zentrum location in Herisau as of 22.03.2027 or as of 20.09.2027.

Your tasks

• You take responsibility for your own learning process and reflect on it.
• You reflect on your own attitudes and engage with ethical questions.
• You communicate transparently, promptly, and completely.
• You plan nursing interventions and orient yourself towards the nursing and treatment concepts of the Spitalverbund.
• You evaluate the effect and impact of your nursing interventions and document them completely.
• You carry out ordered preventive, therapeutic, and diagnostic measures.
• You shape communication and relationships adapted to the needs of the patients and relatives.
• You pass on timely and precise information to the intra- and interprofessional team regarding the health status and developments of the patients.

That is why we want you

• You have at least a three-year basic education with a Swiss Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (EFZ), a Fachmittelschule graduation, or the Matura.
• For the two-year training, you bring a Swiss Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (EFZ) as a Fachperson Gesundheit.
• You are characterized by strong communication and relationship skills.
• Networked thinking as well as a high sense of responsibility are among your strengths.
• In addition, you possess physical and psychological stability and maintain professional conduct even in demanding situations.
