Your tasks

Supporting people

At the Belforterstrasse residential home, you will accompany adults with cognitive and physical impairments and an increased need for care. Many live with chronic, progressive diseases and exhibit conspicuous behaviors.

Shaping everyday life

You will take on tasks such as basic care, household management, and the organization of the spatially integrated daily structure. Additionally, you are responsible for administrative activities, including, for example, the maintenance of the digital client file.

Developing perspectives

As a valuable member of an interdisciplinary team, you advocate for the individual needs of our clients. You specifically promote their abilities, create development goals, and participate in the annual needs assessment.

Your profile

Experience

You are experienced in dealing with people with disabilities, ideally also with challenging behavior. Shift work and working on weekends and public holidays are part of a responsible professional understanding for you.

Personality

You approach clients with empathy, openness, and respect. Even in demanding care situations or emergencies, you remain calm, act confidently, and convey security.

Education

You have completed training as a Fachperson Betreuung EFZ or an equivalent qualification.

Language

You have a secure command of the German language and communicate clearly, empathetically, and appropriately for the target group.

LIV Leben in Vielfalt offers people with disabilities a home and a community that is tailored to their individual needs. We specialize in accompanying adults with complex cognitive impairments - often in connection with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our assisted residential groups and daily structure offers are distributed across various quarters in Basel. LIV is part of the cantonal administration Basel-Stadt and an institution of the Office for Social Contributions in the Department for Economy, Social Affairs and Environment.
