The Amt für Justizvollzug (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Departement für Justiz, Sicherheit und Gesundheit of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. In Graubünden, the execution of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified subject area and a holistic task, in which various professional categories work interdisciplinarily with people who have become offenders to prevent further delinquency. The Justizvollzugsanstalt (JVA) Cazis Tignez employs around 110 employees and has 150 detention places in closed execution. Of these, 100 in normal execution, ten in the admission department, 28 in the special execution area, and twelve in pretrial detention.
