Veterinary Assistant TPA Exotic Animals Anesthesia Schwyz

Zoo, domestic, and exotic animals require special sensitivity during anesthesia and sedation - this is exactly where your strength lies. In the Canton of Schwyz, we are looking for a Veterinary Assistant (Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin / Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent) EFZ with a focus on zoo, domestic, and exotic animals at a workload of 80 – 100 %, starting immediately or by arrangement. What awaits you in this responsible task

• You perform sedations and general anesthesias on zoo, domestic, and exotic animals and monitor them
• You assist with examinations, diagnostic investigations, and procedures
• You prepare anesthesias for exotic patients and monitor them
• You document treatment processes, write surgical reports, and record the services provided for billing
• You participate in apprentice training
• You participate in emergency service on weekends and public holidays

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a Veterinary Assistant EFZ (Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin EFZ or Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent EFZ)
• Professional experience and enthusiasm in dealing with zoo, domestic, and exotic animals
• Sound experience in performing and monitoring anesthesias
• Enjoyment of a varied everyday working life
