Your area of responsibility LGT is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (w/m/d) to strengthen the growing AI team in Zürich. In this role, you will contribute to translating the potential of AI into measurable business value by working closely with the specialist departments and internal stakeholders in Private Banking as well as in the Corporate Functions. You identify high-impact use cases, translate business requirements into practical AI solutions, and support their successful implementation in complex corporate environments. Your tasks: Close cooperation with business units and support functions to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities where AI can create measurable value Responsibility for AI use cases throughout the entire lifecycle - from discovery and scoping to prototyping, implementation, and rollout, through to continuous optimization Design, development, and adaptation of AI Agents and AI-supported workflows so that they fit real business processes, enterprise frameworks, and the requirements of a regulated banking environment Taking responsibility for AI solutions in production by monitoring usage, performance, and business impact, as well as through ongoing optimization together with stakeholders Conducting workshops and working sessions with business teams to identify, prioritize, and design AI use cases with high impact as well as practical implementation paths Acting as an interface between business and technology by translating business requirements into technical solutions and providing understandable mediation of technical concepts Ensuring that insights from deployments are captured and translated into reusable patterns, improvements, and scalable approaches for the organization Your profile University degree in computer science, engineering, data science, business informatics, innovation management, or a related field Experience at the interface of business and technology, including the implementation of practical technology solutions in complex enterprise environments Strong understanding of business processes and stakeholder needs, as well as the necessary credibility and communication strength to work effectively with internal clients and cross-functional teams Sound practical understanding of modern AI systems and agentic workflows, including LLM integration, retrieval, tool use, context orchestration, calculations, guardrails, observability, and human-in-the-loop workflows Ability to translate business requirements into workable technology solutions and to create structure and clarity in complex environments Good understanding of the requirements of a regulated environment, ideally combined with experience in the financial services sector Very good English and German skills; additional languages relevant for LGT locations are an advantage Strong analytical skills, good judgment, and a pragmatic, responsible working style as well as the ability to reduce ambiguity and develop actionable solutions Please note that no applications via recruitment agencies will be considered for this position.
