This position offers wide exposure to Swiss banking law, regulatory developments, regulatory investigations, and strategic transformation projects in a dynamic banking environment. Junior Legal Counsel A well-established Swiss banking institution. ### Description Key responsibilities: • Provide legal advice on Swiss banking law, financial services, AML, and regulatory matters, collaborating closely with business and control functions. Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contractual documents, including client agreements, outsourcing, IT, vendor, and confidentiality agreements. Manage requests from regulatory, judicial, and administrative authorities, and support suspicious activity reports (SAR/MROS filings), investigations, and regulatory requests. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist in the implementation of new regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. Support litigation, sanctions, cross-border issues, and strategic legal transformation initiatives. Profile The successful candidate: • Holds a Master's degree in Swiss law; admission to the Swiss bar is a plus. • 2 years of experience in a Swiss law firm, private bank, or regulated financial institution. • Good understanding of Swiss banking and financial law as well as the operational environment of financial institutions. • Proficiency in French and English; German and/or Italian would be an asset. • Analytical, pragmatic, and detail-oriented professional, with excellent judgment and discretion. • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented professional, enjoying cross-functional work.
