Business Analyst / Business Engineer Software Asset Management

Software asset management! For a forward-looking project in the financial services environment, we are looking for an experienced personality at the interface of Business, IT, Architecture, Procurement, Finance, Risk and Management. At the center is the conception of a modern Software Asset Management as well as the development of end-to-end processes along the entire software lifecycle. For this demanding mandate in Zürich, we are looking for you as: Business Analyst / Business Engineer Software Asset Management # YOUR TASKS In this responsible role, you will analyze existing software-related processes - from demand notification and procurement through deployment, usage and maintenance to cancellation and retirement - and identify optimization potential from the perspective of Software Asset Management. You will develop a holistic target image for a modern Software Asset Management and model end-to-end processes along the entire software lifecycle. In doing so, you will define roles, responsibilities, control mechanisms as well as interfaces to relevant areas such as IT, Procurement, Finance, Security and Compliance. You will collect, prioritize and document functional as well as technical requirements for a future SAM tool, paying particular attention to license management, inventory, contract management, reporting and the definition of an MVP. Furthermore, you will design the integration of the future SAM tool into the existing system landscape, for example into ITSM systems or SAP Ariba, and define data requirements, interfaces and quality standards. You will create business cases, target images, functional concepts and training materials and accompany the selection of the suitable solution as well as the first implementation steps. YOUR PROFILE You have sound experience in the establishment or further development of Software Asset Management or license management and bring comprehensive knowledge in the conception of end-to-end processes along the software lifecycle. Furthermore, you possess several years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Engineer in an agile environment, ideally according to SAFe, with a focus on Software Asset Management, license management or IT financial management. You convince through your ability to moderate different stakeholders from Business, IT, Architecture, Procurement, Finance, Risk and Management, to develop decision-making bases as well as to document complex matters understandably, appropriately for the target group and comprehensibly. Your way of working is analytical, conceptual and pragmatic at the same time. You think in terms of benefit, impact, risk and costs, question existing assumptions and set priorities in a goal-oriented manner. Experience with SAM solutions such as Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, Snow, USU or comparable tools is an advantage. Very good German and English skills at level C1 are required. YOUR PERSPECTIVES You will take on a key role in the area of Strategy, Risk & Analytics and actively help shape the establishment of a future-proof Software Asset Management. In doing so, you will work closely with DevOps ITSM, IT Architecture, Products, Infrastructure as well as other IT teams and make a significant contribution to the further development of software governance. The mandate starts on 01.09.2026 and runs until 31.05.2027. The workload is 100 % with a total of 157 person-days.
