Senior DevOps Consultant

Senior DevOps Consultant (76044) Task We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Consultant for a customer who is responsible for the development, introduction, and management of the DevOps process for a strategic program. The goal is to establish a sustainable DevOps organization that optimizes collaboration between development, operations, and other stakeholders, as well as ensures efficient and automated software deployment. The consultant develops the DevOps strategy, defines standards, processes, and governance guidelines, and accompanies their implementation within the program. The tasks include building and continuously optimizing CI/CD pipelines, promoting automation and infrastructure as code, introducing best practices, and providing technical leadership and consulting for the participating teams. Furthermore, the Senior DevOps Consultant ensures that the DevOps approach is sustainably anchored in the program and established as a central way of working. Requirements Completed higher education in computer science (ETH, FH, HF, etc.) At least 7 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, DevOps Consultant, or DevOps Lead in complex IT environments. Proven experience in building and introducing DevOps processes and organizations in larger programs or transformation projects. In-depth experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions). Several years of practical experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or comparable technologies). In-depth knowledge of container technologies and container orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift). Experience with at least one public cloud platform (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform). Experience in automating build, test, deployment, and operational processes. Experience in technical consulting and managing interdisciplinary teams, as well as collaborating with architecture, development, and operations teams. Good knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe). Very good German language skills in writing and speaking, as well as good English language skills. Experience in defining and establishing DevOps governance, standards, and best practices. Knowledge in the area of monitoring, logging, and observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or Splunk). Experience in the area of DevSecOps and integrating security and compliance requirements into CI/CD processes. Experience with platform engineering or building developer platforms. Experience in leading DevOps transformations in large programs or corporate environments. Certifications in the cloud or DevOps environment (e.g., Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, Terraform Associate, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform). Experience with GitOps approaches and tools like Argo CD or Flux. Knowledge of handling enterprise architectures and IT service management processes (e.g., ITIL).
