Head of Finance-Real Estate (GL)

Your area of responsibility:

• Overall responsibility for the Finance and Real Estate department as well as its strategic and operational development
• Leadership and development of the subordinate teams and specialist departments
• Responsibility for municipal financial planning, budgeting, accounting, reporting and controlling
• Advising the City Council and the Executive Board on financial policy and business management issues
• Ensuring long-term and sustainable financial and investment planning
• Overall responsibility for the municipal real estate portfolio and its strategic management and further development – in close cooperation with the specialists in the team
• Preparation of decision-making bases for the City Council, Executive Board and political bodies

Your profile:

• University or university of applied sciences degree in business administration, finance, Public Management or a comparable qualification
• Several years of leadership experience in a demanding finance function
• Sound knowledge of public finance (HRM2) and experience in a municipal environment, combined with experience in the private sector
• Experience in the strategic management and development of real estate portfolios is an advantage
• Strong understanding of political decision-making processes
• Analytical, conceptual and entrepreneurial mindset
• High leadership and communication competence as well as a convincing appearance with assertiveness
• Ability to prepare complex facts in a manner appropriate to the target group and to support decision-making processes in a goal-oriented manner
