To complete its team, the Service des infrastructures | secteur Voirie, is looking for a: Versatile road maintenance worker -- heavy goods vehicle driver at 100%

Your main missions
The position holder performs a versatile function within the service. He/she mainly ensures the driving of heavy goods vehicles assigned to urban waste collection and also participates in various activities related to the maintenance of roads and public spaces.

Main activities

• Ensure the driving of heavy goods vehicles and other specific vehicles for waste collection, rounds and planned transports, as well as for winter service.
• Perform the necessary maneuvers in urban environments that are sometimes cramped or heavily frequented, ensuring professional, safe, and careful use of the vehicles.
• Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of the city, including manual sweeping, emptying waste bins, maintenance of eco-points, urban furniture and the port.
• Perform road maintenance work, including mowing roadsides, weeding, welcoming people at the recycling center, as well as various handling and transport of rental equipment.
• Ensure a presence according to the established schedule, notably Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and participate in the weekly winter on-call service.

Your profile

• You have excellent physical condition.
• You have several years of experience in performing manual outdoor work and in driving a waste collection vehicle.
• You hold a category B driver's license, ideally with trailer, and C.
• You master the French language.
• You are able to work both independently and in a team.
• You have a sense of public service.
• Be domiciled in Nyon or live at a distance compliant with the requirements of the function (15 minutes).
• Punctuality, rigor, team spirit.
• Compliance with safety rules.
