The Direction de la transformation numérique et de l'IA (DTN-IA) creates, integrates and manages all the IT applications of one of the most efficient hospital information systems in order to support the clinical and logistical activities of the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève. With a fleet of more than 12,500 workstations, 1,300 servers for more than 250 applications serving all staff, available 24/7, the DTN-IA manages an HR information system for the 13,000 employees of the HUG and the 7 other Genevan institutions and a high-performance ERP for the most complex logistical and financial processes. The DTN-IA creates a state-of-the-art integrated patient file and contributes to the prestige of the HUG thanks to a recognized functional richness and close collaborations with all healthcare professionals and their transverse management. Furthermore, the DTN-IA integrates cutting-edge and everyday biomedical equipment as well as specialized applications for all medico-technical platforms. The role of the DTN-IA is to support daily activities and build the future of a modern and efficient hospital, according to the strategic axes of the Institution, relying on best practices and the most demanding standards. Systems Engineer - 100% Operating in a dynamic and modern technical environment serving the patients and employees of the HUG, the Server Systems team is responsible for the administration of the infrastructures hosting critical business applications. The team is hierarchically attached to the Infrastructure Domain of the Operations Service of the DTN-IA and works in close collaboration with many internal teams, notably those in charge of Applications, Data, Security and Network. As a Linux/containers/AI/automation specialist within this team, you contribute to the evolution of the Information System by providing innovative technical solutions and ensuring the reliability, security and performance of the systems 24/7. You design/administer the virtual and physical Linux servers as well as the containerization and orchestration systems (ideally Kubernetes Rancher, Docker Swarm). You implement the tools and procedures necessary for optimal and high-quality production (costs, reliability, performance, monitoring, norms and standards). You collaborate with developers in order to design and optimize technical architectures in terms of resilience, performance and scalability. You ensure the implementation and monitoring of systems and applications throughout the entire project life cycle as well as the technical consistency of solutions in collaboration with project managers. You participate in the drafting of norms, standards and procedures as well as technological monitoring and prospective actions, ensuring the correct use of the configuration management database (CMDB). You maintain the hardware and software resources in operational condition while ensuring compliance with end-of-life dates, performance and security criteria. You analyze and manage incidents, ensure service restoration and take necessary corrective measures in a continuous improvement approach. Qualifications You have an experienced Linux/containers/AI/automation administrator profile and you hold a "Master in Computer Science" degree or a degree deemed equivalent. You have imperative knowledge of automation/GitOps tools (Ansible / GIT / ArgoCD) and the strong knowledge and practice necessary for Linux (Redhat/Rocky preferred), VMware vSphere as well as containers under Kubernetes. You have experience in the implementation and operation of AI platforms with GPU (NVIDIA GPU Operator would be a plus). You are familiar with high availability technologies (load balancing, vertical/horizontal scaling), the technical, functional and organizational architecture of a large Information System, production processes and their quality control. Knowledge and experience in IPAM/DNS/DHCP (EfficientIP preferred) would be a plus. Furthermore, knowledge of production tools (monitoring) as well as knowledge and experience in project management and methodologies (ideally Agile, Hermes) would be desired. If possible, you have knowledge of the functioning of public procurement, automated tests and a DevOps and CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) approach. You have composure and reactivity to manage incidents as well as good resistance to stress in order to be able to face workloads or exceptional situations. In addition, you have a good analytical capacity to draw the right conclusions following incidents and good communication skills to dialogue with users of all technical and/or hierarchical levels. You show a good capacity for adaptation with proven experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar or equivalent function, if possible in a large company.
