Tasks

We are looking for a Business Risk Specialist - Administration & Custody Oversight who

• acts as a central interface for fund administrators, custodians, auditors, Product Managers and other stakeholders
• monitors, optimizes and actively helps shape the risks and the service quality of the activities delegated to fund administrators
• analyzes and coordinates decisions of the valuation committees for traditional and alternative investments
• performs demanding oversight controls, including:

o NAV plausibility checks
o review of processes and systems
o monitoring the valuation of instruments
o instruction and control of dilution protection
o periodic controls of reporting
o Service Review Meetings and Follow-Up Reviews
o coordination of events & issues
o creation of control and audit reports
o ensuring/supporting compliance with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements in connection with the products of the fund management company
o ensuring the documentation of process flows and responsibilities within the department

Team

You will become part of the Management Company Oversight department in the Delegation Monitoring Administration Team in Basel. We ensure that the management of collective investment schemes complies with legal, internal and contractual guidelines as well as always meeting the highest regulatory and qualitative requirements.
We are looking for a personality with a quick grasp, analytical thinking and the pleasure of both critically questioning processes and actively helping to shape the further development of our oversight structures.

Skills and Experience

• Banking apprenticeship, university of applied sciences or similar training; CFA or Fund Officer an advantage
• Broad professional experience in the banking sector as well as in the investment fund area, specific knowledge in the securities area
• Very good knowledge of the investment fund industry and regulatory frameworks
• Strong organizational, analytical and conceptual skills
• Confident and persuasive communication at all hierarchical levels
• Excellent English and German skills in speaking and writing
• High level of personal responsibility and strong quality awareness
• Ability to work carefully and responsibly even under high pressure
• Team-oriented personality with high social competence and an eye for the whole
