Building Security Engineer (100%)

Your mission and responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of people and property in buildings used by the Ville de Genève and ensure the monitoring of the maintenance of all equipment.
• Develop, in collaboration with the department's architects, security plans and fire protection concepts during renovations or transformations.
• Validate and monitor the security and safety concepts developed by specialized contractors during all project phases until the commissioning of the installations.
• Ensure, in collaboration with the team of building security engineers, the point of contact with the Ville services, competent authorities, and suppliers.
• Draft calls for tenders, specifications, and presentations, and complete official forms required by the authorities.
• Ensure all administrative tasks necessary for the proper progress of the missions.
• Ensure the financial monitoring of projects, by controlling costs and ensuring compliance with the allocated budget.
• Follow technical and regulatory developments in the fields of security and propose necessary updates to maintain the proper level of compliance.
• Ensure the on-call rotation for the department's emergency number.

Your profile

• Hold a Master's degree in architecture from EPF or HES.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 in an operational position as a project manager (direction and management of major construction sites).
• Master the legislation in force in the field of fire protection and building security.
• Have in-depth knowledge of all techniques relating to burglary and fire detection, access control, video surveillance, alarm transmission, and computer networks.
• An AEAI certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of the functioning of a public administration is an important asset.
