With its approximately 35 employees, the Amt für Raumplanung exercises supervision over municipal and regional spatial planning and fulfills the tasks assigned to the directorate in the areas of public transport, monument and townscape preservation, as well as noise protection. The tasks of the Kantonalen Denkmalpflege are the protection and documentation, the maintenance and further development of culturally protected and to-be-protected cultural monuments and townscapes.
