As part of the Bildungsdirektion of the Kanton Zürich, the Amt für Jugend und Berufsberatung is responsible for the services in the area of child and youth welfare as well as in vocational counseling. At the center of our work are children, adolescents and families. The Alimentenhilfe is part of the Amt für Jugend und Berufsberatung and provides collection assistance as well as advance payments of maintenance contributions in accordance with the Kinder- und Jugendhilfegesetz. We are looking, effective immediately or by arrangement, fixed-term for one year, with the option for permanent employment, for a committed and motivated person with experience in child support or in a similar specialist field, who would like to use their broad expertise in the Kanton Zürich. Your tasks ### • Claiming maintenance claims from children and spouses • Processing applications for financial benefits • Creating applications to municipalities; enforcement of decisions • Processing payment transactions • Creating statements and reports for the financing municipalities • Representing maintenance claimants in the corresponding proceedings Your profile ### • Completed basic commercial training EFZ with several years of professional experience in the field of child support or in similarly complex clerical work (e.g., Betreibungsamt, social insurance, Treuhand, accounting, debt collection) • Completed further training as an Alimentenfachperson (or the willingness to complete this) • Good understanding of numbers as well as an exact and independent way of working • Very good communication skills and assertiveness • Interest in legal issues (Betreibungsrecht, Familienrecht) The Kanton Zürich is characterized as a solid, fair and reliable employer.
