Located in the Vevey region, between town and country, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to intellectual deficiency. A multidisciplinary and multi-site structure, it offers the people welcomed a particularly harmonious living and working environment as well as a set of skills adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Fondation Eben-Hézer, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sœur Julie Hofmann. In this capacity, it considers the happiness of the people welcomed as the ultimate goal of its action.
Mission
The "Les Jalons" group accompanies 6 adults with autism spectrum disorders as well as an intellectual deficiency and other associated disorders such as epilepsy. The residents are aged 45 to 65. The structuring of time, the rigor of the team, and the clarity of the support routines support the resident in their daily life. Meeting the people being supported and their humanity allows us to become spokespersons in their connection with the outside world.
The team meeting, as the cornerstone of the group, allows for questioning educational practices, confronting visions, in search of the debate that allows for reaching consensus. It is also a place allowing for distance from difficult situations. The educational team, experienced and demanding of itself, is sincerely involved in daily support. Everyone's qualities and differences are seen as a richness, and humor and solidarity are essential resources for the balance of the team. In order to complete the educational team, we are looking for a social educator (M/F).
Desired Profile
To hold a diploma as an ES/HES educator or a CFC as a socio-educational assistant or a CFC as an ASSC
Experience or knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavioral disorders is an asset
Sense of organization and interest in multidisciplinary work
Rigorous, always embracing challenge and questioning practice with an evolutionary aim
Enjoying being challenged in professional daily life
Reflective, proactive and motivated, knowing how to position oneself
"A lace-maker's hand in a conductor's glove," does that speak to you?
You master usual IT tools, possess a driver's license and are willing to work irregular hours including during weekends.
Work Environment

Within the framework of this indefinite duration contract, you can benefit from an interesting and varied internal training program, as well as the social conditions and benefits of the CCT of the Vaudois semi-public social sector, with 8 weeks of vacation, 9 weeks from the age of 50.
