As part of the Klinik für Konsiliar\-, Alters\- und Neuropsychiatrie (Klinikdirektor Dr. med. ), the Zentrum für Alterspsychiatrie (Leitung Kristine Ewert, Dr. med. Wälder und ) fulfills a valuable mission for the mental health of older people and their relatives with its services. It has four specialized stations as well as two outpatient clinics with Memory Clinics at the locations Aarau and Windisch. In addition to consultation hours and advisory services for relatives, the outpatient sector includes the geriatric psychiatric consultation and liaison service for nursing homes. The center is an SIWF-recognized training facility for psychiatry and psychotherapy, geriatric psychiatry, consultation and liaison psychiatry, as well as general internal medicine.
