Your tasks

The strategic Business Unit «Process Analytics» is in an exciting phase of further development. For our production site in Urdorf with around 300 employees, we are looking for an experienced leader as Head of Production Urdorf (all genders).

In this key role, you will take overall responsibility for our production and actively shape the further development of a technologically demanding manufacturing environment. Together with your leadership team, you will drive the transformation of the site, further develop the organization, and create the prerequisites for sustainable operational excellence.

In this function, you will undertake the following activities:

• Overall responsibility for production at the Urdorf site as well as leadership of a production organization with around 200 employees in the direct and indirect production environment.
• Further development and sustainable anchoring of a Lean Operating System for the continuous improvement of quality, productivity, delivery reliability, and costs.
• Leadership and implementation of transformation and change initiatives to further develop structures, processes, and cooperation.
• Promotion of a modern, performance-oriented, and trustful leadership culture as well as targeted further development of managers and teams.
• Responsibility for the modernization of the production landscape through investments in infrastructure, manufacturing equipment, and digital solutions.
• Driving the digitalization of the shop floor as well as supporting the introduction of data-based production and control systems.
• Ensuring efficient and standardized processes along the entire value chain.
• Responsibility for the production strategy and its implementation in close cooperation with the leadership team.
• Building a culture of personal responsibility, cooperation, and continuous improvement.
• Close cooperation with local and global stakeholders within METTLER TOLEDO.

Your profile

We have the following requirements for this position:

• Completed studies (Uni/FH) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, production technology, chemistry, or a comparable field of study.
• Several years of leadership experience in a complex industrial production environment with corresponding responsibility for results.
• Demonstrable experience in leading transformation and change projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Sound practical experience in Lean Management as well as in the successful implementation of operational excellence initiatives.
• Experience in the further development of production organizations and the introduction of sustainable improvement processes.
• Understanding of digitalization topics in the production environment, such as shop floor digitalization, data integration, or Manufacturing Execution Systems.
• Authentic leadership personality with a modern understanding of leadership and the ability to win employees and managers over to changes.
• Strong communication, influence, and implementation skills as well as the ability to successfully bring different stakeholders together.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, high problem-solving competence, as well as a structured and analytical way of working.
• Fluent communication skills in German and English are required.
