Chemistry knows no national borders. Customs law, however, does. When raw materials, specialty products, and sensitive goods are in international transit, a rough look at the documents is not enough. That requires expertise, precision, and someone who masters customs processes so securely that flows of goods do not come to a standstill. For a renowned company in the chemical industry in Basel, we are looking for an experienced personality for a temporary assignment until 30. June 2027 as <br /> <br /> These are your tasks: • You process import customs clearances independently and ensure that all electronic assessment notices are fully available • You work closely with the responsible customs office and conduct professional correspondence • You create and monitor exports, carry out monitoring via SAP, and ensure correct document selection • You clarify demanding customs questions and advise internal business units competently and solution-oriented • You build processes according to ISO standards, review existing procedures, and continuously develop them further • You accompany projects from planning to implementation and contribute your expertise where it makes the decisive difference What you bring with you: • Completed training as a customs declarant or a comparable qualification in the field of customs or foreign trade • Several years of professional experience in customs matters, preferably in the chemical industry • Sound knowledge of customs law and a strong understanding of international flows of goods • Experience in process optimization and project work • Very good German and English skills • Confident handling of MS Office and ERP systems; SAP knowledge is very welcome • Structured, responsible, and highly precise way of working • Team spirit, willingness to learn, and the ability to maintain an overview even in complex situations What awaits you • A long-term temporary assignment from now until 30.
