Counting nearly 1,500 employees, the Département de réadaptation et gériatrie constitutes a medical hub centered on the elderly and is distributed across 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour (Stern) and Joli-Mont. Located in the heart of a park on the Belle-Idée estate, the Hôpital des Trois-Chêne welcomes people whose health status requires hospitalization for geriatric care or rehabilitation treatments. The hospital has a state-of-the-art radiology unit, intermediate care, as well as an emergency service that can accommodate patients aged 75 and over, excluding life-threatening emergencies. Job Description ## As a nurse in the palliative care unit at the Clinique de Joli-Mont, you will ensure, both autonomously and through interdisciplinarity, the global and personalized care of patients requiring technical and complex care. In this context, you identify complexity and adapt care according to the psychological, physical, and spiritual needs of patients while taking their relatives into account. You use the tools adapted to their care and perform succinct and personalized oral and written transmissions for follow-up, notably on DPI. You also exercise a supervisory and teaching function for trainees and new employees. The position is part of a dynamic of inter-departmental collaboration and includes a rotation within another palliative care service (COSPA), promoting the sharing of practices and the development of skills. Finally, you contribute to the development of the quality of care and lead professional reflection based on the analysis of nursing care practices. Qualifications ## You hold a Bachelor HES in nursing or an equivalent nursing diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross. A CAS in palliative care or an equivalent title, as well as any other training related to the care of patients in palliative care (palliative care awareness, pain management) is required or must be obtained during employment. You have a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience, preferably in the care of persons in palliative care. You master acute technical care, and notably monitoring related to non-invasive ventilation. You are comfortable with the care of patients in palliative care and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. During your professional career, you have managed stressful situations and are capable of working quickly and autonomously. Furthermore, you are a person recognized for your ability to adapt and manage priorities. Thanks to your team spirit and communication skills, you work interprofessionally to unite all partners around a common vision to develop care projects for the optimal care of patients and their relatives. You appreciate collaboration and multidisciplinary teamwork. Ease with IT tools is necessary to successfully carry out this mission, as well as a good knowledge of the French language.
