In the Volksschulgemeinde Bischofszell, over 1360 children and young people are accompanied and supported by over 200 pedagogical specialists. Specialist for School Social Work 80% (Cycle 3) To complement our SSA team, we are looking for a motivated and committed specialist for school social work for the new school year 2026/27, starting on September 1, 2026, or by agreement. Your main tasks • Advising and accompanying children, parents, and teachers on social and personal issues • Preventive work in classes and groups on topics such as conflict resolution, media competence, and health • Supporting teachers in dealing with challenging situations • Participating in projects and school activities with a preventive character • Networking and collaborating with specialist agencies, authorities, and multiprofessional teams Your profile • Completed degree in Social Work (FH) or equivalent education • Professional experience in school social work or counseling in a school environment is an advantage • Competencies in prevention, crisis intervention, and project work • Systemic and solution-oriented approach • Strong communication skills, independence, and enjoyment of working with children and families What to expect • A varied and responsible activity in a committed team • Close collaboration with school management and teachers • Annual working time model with flexible vacation regulation • Professional support and participation in regional specialist exchange • Appreciative working atmosphere and good infrastructure Are you interested in actively helping to shape our school?
