Our client prevents and alleviates poverty in Switzerland and worldwide in around 20 countries. Caritas Schweiz is an independent association with around 1’500 employees, based in Luzern, and a member of the international Caritas network. On the topics of poverty reduction, migration, and social integration, Caritas Schweiz offers diverse services and projects for families, single parents, the unemployed, and the working poor together with the regional, independent organizations. Direktion

You bear overall responsibility for the personnel, financial, and operational management and further development of the organization. Together with the executive management, you implement the strategy and connect mission, impact, and economic efficiency. With clear decisions and open dialogue, you create orientation and trust while promoting an appreciative corporate culture. You work closely with the statutory bodies and prepare and follow up on their committee business. Another particularly important task is representing Caritas Schweiz towards authorities, politics, partner organizations, donors, the public, and the media, as well as strengthening national and international networks.

For this versatile function, you bring a university degree at Master's level or an equivalent qualification, supplemented depending on the field by advanced training in business administration and/or non-profit management. You have led organizations of comparable size and complexity across multiple management levels, successfully shaped changes, and possess sound business administration competence. As an entrepreneurial and innovative personality, you can motivate yourself and others towards a common goal and approach even demanding challenges in a solution-oriented manner. You identify with the values and the mission of Caritas Schweiz and communicate stylistically confident in German as well as very well in French and English. You are present at the headquarters in Luzern three days per week, regularly visit other locations in Switzerland, and are available for approx. two foreign trips and several international meetings per year.
