At Würth Logistics, you will strengthen our Procurement team at the Rorschach location. Together with three current colleagues, you will take care of the procurement of transport services with a focus on Road and CEP. Together with the team, you ensure a service provider network with the best conditions, with which we, as a 4PL service provider, ensure the flow of goods of the globally active Würth Group and our external customers. Procurement Officer Transport Logistics (Road + CEP) YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY You purchase transport and logistics services with a focus on Europe-wide truck transport and worldwide KEP shipping. From the initial interview to the signature, you negotiate the services and conditions with freight forwarders and parcel service providers and coordinate the services with the needs and requirements of Product Management and Sales/Key Account Management. When designing the contracts ready for signature, you work together with the legal department. With flow of goods analyses, procurement market analyses, and benchmarks, you make points for improvement visible, results measurable, and thus constantly optimize our procurement processes. You maintain and monitor the procurement conditions in the SAP TM system and work closely with our IT Service Team in doing so. You always keep an eye on the transport market, observe the current market situation and geopolitical developments affecting the transport market, and accordingly set the course for secure, reliable service availability. With active service provider management, you further develop the existing service provider relationships and expand relationships with new service providers with complementary services. YOUR PROFILE You have a commercial vocational training preferably in the freight forwarding/logistics industry or a degree in BWL/Economics or a similar education. You have several years of professional experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry and/or in procurement. You are characterized by economic thinking and acting, a structured way of working, as well as negotiation skills and assertiveness. You tackle tasks proactively and implement them successfully and with high quality. With your open nature, you approach people easily. Your communicative and social skills enable you to work successfully in an intercultural environment and gain the trust of those involved. You communicate and negotiate confidently in German and English. Our daily work offers you the opportunity to use other foreign languages as well. You are willing to travel approximately 10 percent of your working time; predominantly in Europe. The proficient use of MS Office products is a basic requirement. Knowledge in SAP TM is a plus.
