Apprenticeship for Commercial Employee EFZ (August 2027)

Training as a commercial employee in the service and administration industry requires flexibility and communication skills.

You will take on varied tasks in administration. During the three years of apprenticeship, you will work in the Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, or Communications departments.

As a future commercial employee, you will be closely involved in:

• Writing letters, protocols, and contracts
• Creating reports
• Processing e-mails
• Organizing training sessions and events
• Participating in the recruitment of future apprentices
• Filing and archiving various documents
• Assisting in accounting
• Higher requirement level of secondary school, completion of FMS or Matura
• German native language or level C1, very good English skills
• Enjoyment of project work
• Organizational talent
• Team and contact skills
• Enjoyment of working with modern information technology
• Willingness to learn
• Reliability
• Enjoyment of the international working environment and the digital working world

The training, which is oriented towards action competencies, enables you to optimally prepare for your tasks in the commercial profession. The lessons actively incorporate your practical activity and the respective specialist orientation in the company to deepen your knowledge and skills and allow you a large scope of action. The following action competency areas will be developed:

• HKB A: Acting in agile working and organizational forms
• HKB B: Interacting in a networked working environment
• HKB C: Coordinating entrepreneurial work processes
• HKB D: Shaping customer or supplier relationships
• HKB E: Using technologies of the digital working world

Elective compulsory areas

For the first two years of apprenticeship, you choose one of the following elective compulsory areas:

• French
• Projects in a multilingual environment (PIMU)

Options

For the third year of apprenticeship, you choose one of the following options:

• Finance
• German
• English
• Technology

Vocational Baccalaureate Type Economy during the apprenticeship

The KV apprenticeship with vocational baccalaureate is ideal for all those interested in an even more demanding education in the commercial field, where practical professional experience is not neglected and who at the same time want to secure exam-free access to universities of applied sciences and higher vocational education.

In the vocational school, you will be taught in the following subjects:

• German
• English
• French
• Mathematics
• Finance and Accounting
• Economy and Society
• History
• Technology and Environment
• Interdisciplinary project work

During your training, you will acquire internationally recognized language certificates (English Cambridge First B2, French DELF B1 and DELF B2).
