The municipality of Arth with the villages of Arth, Oberarth and Goldau has 12'700 inhabitants and is one of the large municipalities in the canton of Schwyz. The municipality, embedded in the pre-Alpine landscape, is located in a central position in terms of traffic, at the foot of the Rigi and on the shore of Lake Zug, and is an extremely attractive place to live and work. The Arth-Goldau municipal schools operate all departments from kindergarten to 6th grade in the two school districts of Arth and Goldau. Around 980 children attend school in one of the six school buildings or 14 kindergartens. Around 100 teachers are responsible for teaching. We are looking for a specialist as of August 17, 2026 or by agreement Schulsozialarbeiter/in | 40-60% (temporary until December 31, 2026) In this temporary replacement, you will take on responsible tasks in school social work in the Goldau school district. Your tasks: • Consulting and supporting children, parents and reference persons • Supporting teachers and school management in social issues • Mediating internal and external support services • Collaborating with all relevant parties in the school environment Your profile: • Completed studies in Social Work (FH/HF) or in training • Experience in school social work or child, youth and family welfare is an advantage • Independent, communicative and team-oriented personality Your perspective: • A varied and meaningful activity with independent processing of your tasks • Annual working hours (presence concentrated on school weeks, the resulting overtime is compensated during school holidays) • A collegial and professional working environment with clear structures • Expert exchange and networking with other school social workers.
