In Network Engineering, you ensure that our networks function stably, securely, and efficiently. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will specifically develop our network environment, drive automation forward, and design solutions that meet the requirements of our customers of today and tomorrow. In doing so, you combine technical know-how with pragmatism and create business-oriented, sustainable solutions.

Senior Network Engineer

Your tasks

• Responsibility for the stable operation of our infrastructures and services
• Further development of our IP/MPLS, Voice, ACI, FTTH, and DOCSIS platforms
• Active co-design of topics such as monitoring, security, and network automation
• Planning, design, and implementation of network architectures with a focus on stability, scalability, cost-efficiency, security, and automation
• Evaluation of new technologies as well as development of architecture and operating concepts
• Definition and implementation of technical standards, best practices, and security specifications
• Technical responsibility in infrastructure and network projects as well as close cooperation with internal specialist departments and partners
• Analysis of complex malfunctions and sustainable resolution of incidents in 3rd-level support
• Participation in on-call service (24/7 availability) on a rotational basis with the team

Your skills

• Completed studies in the field of IT/telecommunications or a comparable training
• Several years of experience in engineering, operation, and architecture of complex network infrastructures
• Very good knowledge of routing, IP/MPLS, security, monitoring, and automation
• Experience with connection technologies FTTH or Docsis as well as infrastructures from Cisco and Huawei is a plus
• High level of personal responsibility with the aim of aligning technical solutions with business benefit
• Active cooperation with various stakeholders and specialist departments as well as positioning yourself as a competent, visible technical contact person within the company
• Strategic outlook, operational implementation strength, and pragmatism regarding complex technical issues
• Clear communication and the ability to bring technical topics to the point in an understandable way
• Decisiveness as well as a good sense for the balance between stability, innovation, cost-efficiency, and business benefit
• Driver's license Cat. B
• Very good German as well as good English skills
