The focus of our work is primary nursing, the promotion of independence and quality of life, and professional interdisciplinary cooperation. We accompany older people with psychiatric illnesses in acute and complex life situations and create perspectives for everyday life together with them.

For our openly managed inpatient geriatric psychiatry with 17 beds at the Burgdorf location, we are looking for an engaged and professionally skilled [person] immediately or by arrangement

Area of responsibility

• Resource- and person-centered nursing and accompaniment of people with life experience.
• Support and maintenance of independence as well as promotion of the daily life competencies of our patients
• Participation in therapeutic group offerings
• Crisis intervention and support in challenging situations
• Interprofessional treatment planning as well as primary nursing
• Early detection of somatic changes in condition as well as initiation of corresponding nursing measures

Profile

• Diploma as a Pflegefachperson HF/FH or equivalent, recognized training in Switzerland
• Interest in psychiatric nursing and working with older people
• Experience in psychiatry or geriatric psychiatry is an advantage
• Enjoyment in shaping therapeutic relationships within the framework of primary nursing
• Responsible and reflective way of working
• Strong teamwork skills and enjoyment of interprofessional cooperation
• High social and communication competence
• Resilient, flexible and solution-oriented personality
