Kirchgemeinde Basel West for the Stiftung Basel West Our church community's foundation has recently opened a small seniors' residence with 15 apartments for the elderly. It offers its still largely independent residents advice, support, and promotion. For this, we are looking for a committed, church-affiliated person in the Seniorenbegleitung 40% You are the first point of contact for residents for personal concerns in the area of everyday life and support them in this. In challenging situations, you establish contact with further counseling services, health services, authorities, or service providers. On the other hand, you promote community in the house with periodic events and offers inside and outside the house, ensure respectful coexistence, and work against loneliness. This includes individual communicative and administrative tasks as well as the care of the community room. You are an open, accessible person with social training (in the broader sense) and have a good sense of older people, their lifestyle, and their needs. You enjoy working independently and are used to prioritizing different problems in a goal-oriented manner. You design your relationships and tasks actively and with practical flair. If possible, you already have professional or voluntary experience in accompanying older people. The position offers you an independent activity with design possibilities. The workplace is located at Schweizergasse 23 in Basel. The workload includes four fixed, half-day shifts distributed over the week, as well as individual special deployments and meetings.
