The settlement drainage department of the city of Illnau-Effretikon ensures that everything runs smoothly every day. Our diverse range of responsibilities includes around 20 special structures, a around 97 kilometer long sewer network, a rainwater treatment plant, and a modern wastewater treatment plant for around 30,000 inhabitants at the lowest point of Effretikon. November 2026 or by agreement as Specialist ARA and Sewer Network 80 – 100 % YOUR TASKS IN THIS FUNCTION ARE: Monitoring of operations through the use of the process control system (PLS) Maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical components Checking and calibration of all measurements Laboratory tests (sludge and wastewater) Monitoring and maintenance of public sewers and special structures in the sewer network Participation in the development of proposals for purchases and replacements Continuous professional development according to VSA/AWEL Standby and weekend duty (Saturday and Sunday) YOUR PROFILE FITS PERFECTLY IF YOU: Have completed a vocational training on EFZ level and have a vehicle license category B. Have a federal certificate of proficiency as a wastewater treatment plant specialist or have completed training as a wastewater treatment plant operator with a VSA certificate - or are willing to complete one of these trainings. Have good knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes and PC skills (MS Office/industrial control PLS). Appreciate independent and quality-conscious work.
