50% as of July 1, 2026 or by agreement Your responsibility: <br /> • You work in the night shift and are willing to do so on weekends and holidays • You can be occasionally deployed in the day shift to get to know and deepen operational processes and developments • You are responsible for order and security in the prison and monitor the security and surveillance systems • You assess security-relevant situations and initiate the necessary measures if required • You have supervision and responsibility over incarcerated persons and remain calm and capable of acting in emergency and stress situations • You perform administrative tasks (e.g. reports, journal entries, mail) • You have understanding for dealing with people in difficult life situations and treat incarcerated persons respectfully and professionally • You inform the day shift completely and correctly about the incidents during the night <br /> Your background: <br /> • Experience in the security sector, justice system, blue light organizations or similar fields is an advantage. • You are at least 25 years old and have an impeccable reputation (criminal and debt enforcement record) • You have good oral and written German skills, as well as user knowledge of MS-Office • You possess decision-making ability, assertiveness and set the right priorities in difficult situations • You acknowledge other cultures and religions • You are responsible and have personal maturity • You have a professional degree and/or several years of professional experience <br /> For questions about the position Sven Anhorn Head of Muttenz Prison sven.anhorn@bl.ch T 061 552 33 60 Department of Justice / Prisons The prison system is a specialist area of the Department of Justice of the Security Directorate. The different forms of detention -- primarily pre-trial detention and short prison sentences -- are carried out at the prison locations Muttenz, Liestal, Arlesheim and Sissach (temporarily closed). A total of around 138 places are available for this purpose.
