Shiptec AG is looking for a responsible, reliable and independent personality as Head of Construction Department in Shipbuilding, 80-100%, permanent, by arrangement.

For the shipbuilding sector, we are looking for a strong leader with technical know-how and organizational talent. As Head of Construction, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of our shipbuilding projects and will make a significant contribution to the success of our shipyard.

Shiptec AG is a leading company in the fields of ship engineering, shipbuilding and marine technical services. Your area of responsibility

• Leadership and further development of the employees in the construction department
• Coordination of the carpentry, painting and shipbuilding metal construction departments
• Ensuring efficient work planning, work assignment and schedule monitoring within the department
• Primary contact person for cross-departmental technical and organizational questions
• Responsibility for the implementation of improvement measures as well as for the continuous optimization of processes
• Leading projects, conversions, maintenance and production-related projects in the construction department
• Ensuring cooperation between the departments as well as high quality in execution
• Ensuring smooth operation and timely service delivery in the construction department
• Recognizing customer needs and market potentials as well as deriving suitable offers
• Participation in the development and responsibility for the implementation of the strategy in the construction department
• Responsibility for the preparation and calculation of offers in cooperation with the responsible specialist departments
• Active participation in the acquisition of projects and orders as well as the further development of the customer and service portfolio

Requirement profile

• Technical basic training in a manual or industrial profession, for example as a plant and apparatus builder, carpenter or painter, supplemented by further training as a dipl. Techniker/in HF, a university of applied sciences degree or a comparable qualification
• Strong business and entrepreneurial understanding
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in the technical field or industrial production environment
• Experience in the coordination of different departments as well as in the planning and control of workflows
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills as well as a solution-oriented way of working
• High quality, schedule and responsibility awareness as well as enjoyment of working with various professional groups
• Openness to change, improvement processes and new working methods
