Civil Engineer Geotechnics Retaining Structures

In this function, you will assume the technical specialist leadership for retaining structures with a geotechnical focus in construction and maintenance projects of the rail infrastructure.

Tasks

• Technical specialist leadership for retaining structures with a geotechnical focus in construction and maintenance projects
• Support of the areas Tunnel, Geotechnics and Special Foundation Engineering
• Review of project documents from variant studies to construction projects for retaining structures and trough structures
• Expert services for the assessment of existing retaining structures as well as strategic and operative consulting
• Development of technical guidelines for planning, construction and maintenance of retaining structures
• Organization of further training for internal specialists in this area
• Management of research and innovation projects in the field of geotechnical structures and retaining walls

Profile

• Higher education in the field of civil engineering/geotechnics (FH/University/ETH)
• Several years of practical experience in geotechnical civil engineering
• Experience in leading technical teams
• Sound knowledge of the state of the art in geotechnical civil engineering as well as rail operations and regulations
• Business fluent German (level C1)
• Good knowledge (level B2) in Italian or French
