Social Worker in Youth and Family Counseling, kjz Winterthur

The Office for Youth and Vocational Counseling of the Department of Education provides, orders, controls, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and vocational counseling. The kjz Winterthur (Child and Youth Welfare Center) is a polyvalent counseling center for families, parents, adolescents, children, and toddlers and works on the basis of the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zurich. The Youth and Family Counseling (JFB) of kjz Winterthur is looking for a Social Worker 60 - 80% starting immediately or by arrangement. As a legal guardian (Beistand/Beiständin), you will implement civil law child protection measures, undertake child welfare assessments on behalf of the KESB, and advise families, children, and adolescents along their mandates. The counseling covers a wide spectrum of topics regarding family organization, upbringing, separation and divorce, visitation rights problems, and issues of child protection. Great importance is placed on good and close cooperation with authorities, schools, institutions, and specialist centers.
