Your tasks:
The Institute of Thermo- and Fluid-Engineering (ITFE) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW combines practice-oriented teaching with application-driven research and development. Together with industry partners, we develop innovative solutions in the fields of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and energy technology. We rely on modern simulation, experimental and measurement methods and work closely with national and international partners. In doing so, we make an important contribution to the development of efficient and future-oriented technologies.
Your tasks:
- Expertise in numerical flow simulations and possibly structural analysis
- Supervision of students (Bachelor/Master)
- Participation in research and service projects
- License management for commercial software packages
- Organisation of regular colloquia to ensure internal knowledge transfer
- Co-supervision of the HPC infrastructure
- Acquisition of own projects in the field of numerical simulations
Your profile:
- University degree in a technical or scientific field, possibly a doctorate
- Several years of professional experience in numerical simulations with relevant software packages (e.g. ANSYS, Star CCM+)
- Team player, customer-oriented working style
- Fluent German language skills
